How to look after your tutu dress and tutu skirt:

Maya’s Magical Tulle

Looking after your Custom Made Tutu Dress/ Tutu Skirt:

1)   Please take the outfit out of the packaging as soon as they have been collected/ arrived as this will allow the natural flow of the fabric to breathe and to ensure no creasing occurs.

2)   To store the dresses/ skirt, either lay them flat on the surface with all the tulle facing in one direction or fan the dress flat onto the surface (Like a massive cake) and this will ensure the tulle stays in its prime condition, or hang it up immediately.

3)   Before wearing the dress/skirt and to ensure that bunching up does not occur, mix a few tablespoons of your favourite fabric softener with 500 ml of water in a spray bottle and spray each layer of tulle (individually is the best to ensure full coverage).

Do not spray too much water / softener mixture onto the tulle as this will cause the tulle to be too damp and limp. Only a soft spray will do.

4)   To get rid of creasing of the tulle, always store the dress/skirt flat. However to get the dress/skirt to its original puffy state, hang the dress in the bathroom and run a hot shower so the steam from the hot shower will cause the tulle to soften and straighten (run your fingers continuously to ensure that every piece is straightened.)

5)   Never iron the tulle or the crochet top as this will damage the fabric.

6)   To clean the dress/skirt, please only spot clean it or hand wash by swirling the dress in water that has a little bit of detergent mixed in. Lay the dress flat with the tulle fanned out to dry, (like a cake, yum!)

7)   Lastly, enjoy being a little princess in your new dress/skirt.
